Hello...

G'day everyone, I'm new here, stumbled in surfin' for some pics
on 'Baldwin Motion'.Man, are they rare.......

I build scale models (auto's, what else) and was researching my
latest, the 69 Baldwin Motion Corvette, made by Revell, but not
truelly accurate. I have checked into a couple of sites, including
Joel's, so far only found a blue/white and a very dark green
versions.
Was just curious if someone had/know's of any sites/links that
may help my research......

Thanks in advance
cheers stump

Hey Stump! Welcome to digitalcorvettes! I have several Corvette books at home that cover Baldwin Motion Corvette's a little bit.

Was there any specific info you were looking for?

welcome!!

models, eh? how come i can't find a decent model of a 1981 corvette???? man, i've searched all over and the closest i can come to is is a 1982.

i found one, but the guys won't part with it. it has detail like you would not believe, both in, out and under the car.

anyways, welcome to DC.

Thanks guys...

Hey,thanks for the welcome guys.
Patrick96LT4, I am after motor/engine bay shots I guess, to see
what hoses/fittings go where..Have a couple of pics, but not very
good close-up for detail. I've noticed they didn't use the big heat
sheild around the dizzy, and they come with either smooth
chrome or finned Motion rocker covers, probably depended on
what was available at the time. ?
Also, a bit confuseing with the stripe, the kit supplied stripe
doesn't continue down the side at the back, but the beautiful
blue one I have seen does, as well as the whole back. Looks
much better IMHO. I will paint mine to resemble it as such..

raidmagic, thanks mate, I have checked that site, great build. It
was actually there that I found out about the inaccuracey of the
kit.

Thanks again guys, maybe I'll post a pic when done.....
( even though it's not a real one )

Punk Boy, thanks for the pics and link mate, that is #1 sweet
Vette....:partyon:
I've already raided an AMT BM Camaro for the rocker covers and was hoping the sidepipes may have fitted, but looks like I'll be fabricating those myself :( I already have a BM Camaro on the shelf (70-71),lucky I bought two....
Quick Q. Does anyone know if the 69 BM Vette's used the standard bellhousing, or a scattersheild...?

cheers guys:cheers:

There was one at calisle this year, it might have been the dark green one though. But there was one last year too and i dont think it was the same, nor do i thing it was the blue and white one.
