I bought a hurst roll control to allow me to really heat up the drag radials.

What are some of your 60 foot times with drag radials? How did they help your ET?

I better do better than that. I've cut that on street tires. It better get me to 1.8x, or these tires are going in the trash and I'm going back to a street tire!

I pulled a 1.885 60' at Byron during my first run at the 1st GLCC event. :D

But the rest were 1.9xx and 2.1xx 60'.

Patrick,
My best times are 1.69 to 1.74 consistant.
Re: Heating them up. I have an article somewhere that says you don't really need to heat up BFG Drag radials...just a wisp of smoke as they say. But I'm like you.. I tend to toast 'em.
Another thing. BFG's are like wine.. they get better with age.
My last set I wore down to the threads!.
If you don't have BFG's then all this may not apply.
Oh, one more thing..torque off the line helps a lot so just a comparison of 60' times just tells you what they are capable off, If YOU have less torque than someone with better 60' times you may never get as low as that person. IMOP.

1.92 60' launching at about 3000 RPM. 18 PSI in the tires.

I don't need no wussy line lock training wheels to do a simple burnout. :D

Old thread but...1.73 on 315 BFGs

with a 1.9x I was turning 13.0-13.1 @ 106-7 and when I cut the 1.73 the car went 12.62 @ 109.9 FYI
