I can't decide which exhaust system to get. I've heard the Corsa in person and it sounds mean. I've been told that the Borla's interior drone will drive me insane and to go with the Corsa. I have an '89 convertible.

Just want to know what you guys think.

i have the borlas and i love them not that loud and idle but they get pretty loud at WOT

Did you hear the Corsa on a C4 with a LTx or a L98? it will sound different..

but should be close at the same time, if you like Corsa then go that route..

If I had it to do over again, I would go with the Corsa. I have the Borla Stingers and they drone alot!!!!

The Corsa system is more expensive, anyone know where I could get a deal on them, or find them cheap? I've found a new Borla system for $500...

Put Borla cat back system on my 95. They drone a little at 50-60 mph but clear up at higher speeds. Then again, I am very used to loud exhaust :laughing:

I like the sound of the Borla as a "spirited driver", but on the highway I would much prefer the Corsa with no drone.

I had the Borla Challenge system form a ZR-1 on my modded 89, I really liked it.

I am also buying a used Borla Challenge System from my ZR-1..

My 2 cents worth: You must remember that you will be sitting inside the car, not outside. So, your main concern should be how loud it is inside the car. Taking a ride in a car that sounds good outside but has an enormous amount of resonance inside is equivalent to torture. I am not talking about the exhaust noise you hear from outside the car when you roll down the windows. Its a deep resonance or "drone" that usually manifests itself at cruising speed. :huh:

I have a convertible, so I usually have the top down, and a 6 speed so I can control my rpms somewhat. But, if the drone is still ridiculous on the Borla I think I might go with Corsa.

If you are going for a budget exhaust system Melrose isnt the way to go. Extremely HIGH quality product. But you pay for what you get!

storm: theres a couple of clips of the melrose system in the thread on the bottom of the technical/general section of c4's. the thread says mesrose system or somthing. the links will be in there.

i think it sounds freakin sweet:thumbsup: , but maybe a lil high pitched.

could anyone that has a borla or corsa system put a clip of the start up and rev on here? i've never heard either of those systems...
