Has anyone out there tried any brake pads on the track other than stock? If so what pads and what were the results?

I see the Hawk HP Plus Race brake pads are quite a bit cheaper than stock pads, anyone try them at the track? any results?

thx

carbotech. i haven't used them on a Z06, but i've used them on many cars. They seem to be louder then most race pads, but they work great. They are easy on the rotors, good stopping power, but initial bite isn't as high as some others, but it depends on what you like.
A fellow whose opinion I value used the Raybestos pads for quite a while on the track and liked them a lot. I've heard mixed reports on the various Carbotech compounds. I don't think you can go wrong with the HP+ pads unless you're major demon on a hard-braking track like Road America . . .
