wonder how much that engine/exhaust weighs??? if it can be done under 700 lbs...maybe not so bad....SBC complete with iron exhaust is nearly that....

Hmmmm 55 M.P.G? Maybe he isn't toooooo crazy.....especially up in Canada where gas is $250....... a liter..

Heck! 50+ MPG...........if I could get that I would seriously consider a Diesel.
Built right they will sure out torque a gas burner.

Yes ..........he did say that......:D

If I'm correct mileage in Canada is figured in Kilometers so
1 Kilometer (Canada) = 0.6213712 miles (US)

45mpg (Can) = 30 mpg (US)
55mpg (Can) = 34 mpg (US)

If I figured this correctly................still beats the average 8 to 15 a C3 gets.

does pose some interesting possibilities...
throw one of the late model diesels in with a little warming over by BD Power systems http://www.bd-power.com/gmc/
and you have some serious grunt, only problem is the size and weight.
Be pretty wierd at the Xmas Tree with the side pipes belching black smoke and the turbo spooling up :nuts:

Imagine also a Jake Brake bellowing through the pipes. Yikes.
