Doesnt painting a caliper make it retain more heat? I dont know if you all race your vettes, or if heat even matters to you. If heat isnt an issue with paint then I think I might paint mine.

if you race rour vette, the only color I would recomend painting your calipers is black. If you do it any other color they will "darken" up as you will kind of bake the paint at track temperatures...powder coated brakes will do the same thing. If you started off with red, you will end up with a maroon/brownish color after a hard day of hot lapping.

No, besides there is no need to use braided stainless lines designed for a C5 when you can get ones made for a C4 for the same price.

I got similar deal on my C5 brakes, you just have to keep your eyes open on some of the different forums classifieds sections, ebay, and craigslist. You can also try to find some used ones as well.
