Thanks Joe! Very nice work!

Did you use a brush or aerosol?

Looks great and I plan on doing the same color theme, I "MIGHT" try to use a small roller and paint the letters white,, we'll see how brave I get!
I just used an aerosol can of any type of brake paint that I could find at my local auto parts store... They have a particular brand that I like to use because it goes on thick and dries extremely hard... I compare it to a spray on powder coat!

Masked off

And in the painting process

The cradles I just painted with black... I dont think you need pics of that! HAHA!

More finished product!

Larry,

I used the G2 Paint with a brush when I did the ones for my 84. Not quite powdercoat, but they were damn good for 35bucks.
Yeah man! Some of those industrial strength paints and brake paints are extremely think and can coat anything!

No problem man! If you do decide to mask them off like I did. Be sure to have at least an extra hour and at least 2 sharp blades! :D Those thin hobby knives worked best for me!

When you purchased your rotors, pads and calipers what year did you order? Are all C5 calipers and rotors interchangible?
Thanks
Jim B.
Yes all C5 front rotors are the same... Unlike the C4's... All C5's had the same brake options (when it came to size). The only difference between a base line C5 caliper and the Z06 caliper was that the Z06's were painted red from the factory where as the base line models were not...

Thanks:thumbsup:

I knocked off your color scheme!

I considered painting the letters white, but I got lazy.

Gonna bolt them on today!

Are there any clearance issues with the heat shields?
Mine doesnt have a heat shield????

I had no problems at all with my front brake system. It all went in flawlessly!

Stock C4 rims with C5 brakes!

I know this may be basic knowledge to some but I just found this out today on my own car.

STOCK C4 RIMS WILL FIT WITH THE C5 BRAKE CONVERSION... If you install a 1/4 inch spacer. The diameter of the brakes clear 17's with PLENTY of space. Its the distance of the back of the wheel to the caliper! (This may only apply to 91-96 vehicles have not experimented with 84-90

Just a little side info for those who want to utilize their factory rims and want to do the upgrade or, for those who dont have the funds to purchase new rims and this brake conversion!

I believe you can find 1/4" spacers on ebay for extremely cheap.

Hope this helps!!!
