I have had my gas cap come lose a few times now. I check it every few days and sure enough it is lose. The check engine light has come on a couple of times now because of it. Does anyone know how many starts it takes to clear the code after this happens? Is anyone else having this problem with the cap coming lose? I am thinking that this is a common problem now with the C6.
Is there any better aftermarket cap out there?

I am looking forward to hearing what everyone else has to say about this.

2-3 starts with a sealed cap clears the code. These caps do not normally have problems. Turn until you hear on click. If the problem continues get a GM Replacement or upgrade to a locking cap.

Mine f#cking broke eventually and I went to the dealer and they just put on a new one - took 3 minutes. I think this is a common problem.

I tighten mine to one click now.

Mine won't tighten down at all. I'm heading to the dealer next week...

My cap doesn't really come loose, however, i just started to get a message on the dash this summer saying that is. I'll get out, open the lid, cap is on just fine. Will take it off, put it back on and tighten. Sometimes the message goes away, sometimes it reoccurs.:WTF

When you put the cap back on, don't pust down and turn...just turn it. I had the same problem until I stopped pushing down on it.
