I was looking at Brents C3 with the C6 mirrors. Pulled up C6 mirrors on ebay and the pictures showed 2 different styles. One style had a long bracket from the door to the mirror and the other had a short bracket. Is this correct or am I missing something. Also what mods have to be done to make this C6 mirror work on a C3. If there are short mirrors available, I would be very interested in this mod on my non flared vette.

Thanks, Mark

I'm surprised more people haven't bought the apr cf gt3 mirrors at $210 a pair.

From their website:
When it comes to reducing aerodynamic drag to a car, the APR Formula GT3 Mirrors are an excellent choice. The APR Formula GT3 Carbon Fiber Mirrors are designed to give race inspired looks with the functionality of reducing drag and eliminating blind spots with wide angle mirror lenses.

Sorry, I know nothing about c6. mirrors on a c3.

Mark, I have see in other build threads with these mirrors and the builder not being happy with the mirror mounted on the short stem, it was said that its still hard to see over the rear fenders. I have a set of C5 mirrors that I am looking to use and hope that I am able to see over the fenders once done.

Hey, Mark. HERE are the mirrors I got. They are electric and at some point I will wire them up. Looking back at the description, I see they are heated too. That part I won't be hooking up.
The car should have a color on it soon and it will be interesting to see how much better they blend in once painted.
I thought the price was right, too. One of the few things I spent less on then expected on this build.

Thanks guys, can't wait to see what they look like on your painted vette Brent. That is an excellent price for the pair. I do like to have a good field of view, lots of accidents happen when you can't see what's going on behind you!

I put them on my 1970, I agree with Brent in that they fit over the existing mounting location with no modifications. You will need to drill a couple of holes, pay close attention to where you drill the holes as the bolts are installed from the back and threaded into the mirrors. There is a potential to have internal door parts in the way.

They do look great, just like they belonged on the car to begin with. Most who look don't know they aren't stock. The rear fender upper arc does stick up into the rear view but the mirrors are wide enough to see down the side. I angle my mirror outward just a little to give a better side view. Photos attached.
My Corvette is in storage so please ignore the dust and moving blanket....
