I wasn't sure on where to post this thread but here we go anyway.

I don't know too much about camaros and my friend is thinking about buying his first car as one. I came here wondering which year in the 90's was the most solid camaro.

i can do research from there.

Not trying to be a smart ass but you might have a more informative discussion at a F-body site rather than a Corvette site. There are some basic similarities between the two. Wheels, paint, engine, radio but their platforms are completely different.

I own a '99 Hugger Orange SS and love it. She's ALWAYS garaged and never sees snow, rain or wet pavement. She's only got 15,000 miles on the clock. An excellent site for you to check out is, www.ls1tech.com. ALL THE INFO YOU WILL EVER NEED!!!!
Good luck.

Check LS2.com and Z28.com as well. Wealth of information on those 3 sites.

I had a 2000 Z28 and loved it:thumbsup: Was a black convertible, LS1 engine, 315s rear on ZR1 5 spokes. Looked badass and ran like a banshee.

The 98's I believe had a little oiling problem, but nothing that couldn't be dealth with.

Unless you're friend is just stuck on an early 4th gen, I'd look at 98+ with the LS1:thumbsup:
