You know, so many people are going to chrome Z06 rims. I really like the "subtleness" of the stock Z06 wheel. If anything, powdercoat them black...

Why not just get an aftermarket wheel?

Mine will be done GS style. All black with the outter most 3/8 inch machined.....if I ever get my lazy ass around to doing it. Next month for sure.

I have after market chrome Z06 wheels and man do they get the looks/comments. It's what really makes my car stand out and look BAD. I saw in a mag that someone is now offering Z06 wheels in 20". Thinking about using them for the back and putting my 18's up front-oh so cool!

Well similar I guess, but mine will not have the fake bolts and the lip will be a lot less polished.

I switched to the chrome Z06 rims with new Mich. a month after I picked up my 02 yell. vert. They look great, soo much better that stock and i love the mich's pilots.

:huh: i would really look at other options.everytime i turn around i see these rims,now even the f-bodys here have them.the black ones are cool,there are so many rims out for c5s,take your time if you want to stand out,chome zo6s will not make you stand out, im probably going with 19 inch EVOS all around.post pictures when your done::buhbye: later,Todd.

I started thinking the same way. Everyone has those DAM chrome Z06 rims even on non-corvettes

Personally I like the looks of my 01 C5 stock wheels for now but, if I was getting new wheels I would probably get a set of those pricey HRE performance wheels. By the time I save up the money maybe I will have decided which ones I like the most. I'm leaning towards #547 this week but my choice changes from week to week. Of course I can almost buy a small car for what a set of the HRE's cost plus some good road rubber. Maybe next year!!
