I need to find someone who can replace the clutch in my 2001 Corvette. I bought the parts but realize that I can't do the job with a 4 post lift. I have checked with everyone I can think of and noone wants to tackle the job. I live south of Boston, MA.

If you know anyone who is willing to do this job, please let me know. It's hard to believe that some young wrench jockey wouldn't want to make a few greenbacks but I find in the great North East that work really is a four letter word.

Thanks, Jim

I don't see why it can not be done on a four post. All you need to do is slide the drive train from the bell housing back, to the rear far enough to remove the clutch. the torque tube, tranny, and diff all come lose as a unit. all you would have to do is raise the body enough to allow it to slide back a foot or so.

Just my thoughts...

:agree:

But figured I'd offer an option if he didn't want to do it himself. Sure wish I had a lift........I can't count how many I've done lying on my back.
