I want to install a cold air intake on my C6. The Hurricane intake has been recommended to me. Has anyone had any experience with this intake? Any other suggestions? Also the Hurst 6 speed shifter has been recommended. Any experience or comments? Any comments or suggestions on changing the mass air flow sensor? Thanks for your comments.

I have not used the Hurricane, but if you are looking to recover some quick HP any cold air intake will help you...I ran a Hurst Billit shifter in my C5 when I had it. If you are going to do a lot of 1/4 mile it would be great for you. The trade off is the effort it takes to shift, So if you do hr after hr of stop and go driving any short throw shifter will get old. On the bright side it will build up the muscles in your right arm.

Cold air intake is always good.
IMHO the Hurst shifter on a C6 is a waste of time and money. In my experience the stock shifter on the C6 is every bit as good as the aftermarket units.

I went with the B&M short shifter (I believe that B&M purchased Hurst) and IMHO it's one of the best mods you can make, (can only comment on B&M as I have not experienced the others) It feels like it should have come from the factory this way, I also changed the tranny fluid to royal purple synchromax which also helped smoothen the shifts.

I installed the callaway cai due its construction and ease of taking out the filter for cleaning, but most cai are comparable.

have fun modding!

Don't know a thing about the shifters but ram air will far out perform cold air any day: apples and oranges. Just a thought.

We're running a special right now on the Vararam snake charmer. You get the ram air unit, free shipping and a free t-body spacer. This is a savings of over $110.00.

You will see 40hp gains and 3-4 tenths second savings in the quarter mile.

We've got them in stock here:
