Turning it on or off won't change the shift points or shift pressure. It turn off traction control but leaves active handling on

it just turns off the traction controll and something else i cant remember but its not worth the time of holding it down for the five seconds when it gives you the same effect at a stop as just turning the tc off

It also turns off the ABS which is very useful if you are in tight, high speed turns in the mountains or something and you really want to push the car to its limits.

When I had my C5 (2000), when you started it, Traction Control and Active Handling were on, press the button on the console and hold it for 5 seconds or so and the DIC would show competition mode, AH on/TC off, you also have the option to turn both (TC/AH) off. You cannot turn the ABS off.

It seems too many people confuse traction control and active handling, read your owners manual folks.
