Took a friend for a ride yesterday just so he could hear my Corsa Sport he did'nt tell me what he thought untill i saw him at the gym today. He thought it sounded like a ricer at high rpm, to say the least i was insulted but i did'nt make a big deal about it, but it did bother me a bit. Has anyone else get this sorta feed back from a friend regarding their corsa Sport ? :WTF

Don't be too hard on your friend. He had probably just been riding in a C6 with Borla Stingers. :laughing:

That's odd.....I've had friends ask me to start my Corsa enhanced Z06 at car shows just to hear the sound, and never heard any negative comments.

I've had Corsa Sports on 3 different C6s.

Thet sound far from a ricer at normal acceleration, Mustang like, and more like a Ferrari at full throttle.

However, they are too quiet during mormal accleration and crusiing.

Swapped to Borla Stingers #11744, I have to say, my C6 with the Borla Stingers is one of the best sounding cars I have ever owned.:thumbsup:

This is exactly why I ordered the Borla Stinger Sports (Installing them Friday) . Everyone's idea of what exhaust sounds good is different but I really wanted the 60's muscle car sound. Nice and deep. Alot of people tried to get me to go with the Corsa's but when I heard them they were just too Ferrari sounding for me (not a bad thing, just not what I wanted on a Vette). I was told I would not like the "Drone" w/ Borla's and would change them after a few days. Hahah no way. Yell03 is right on the $$. People confuse low purring with drone. If I wanted a quiet exhaust I'd stick with the stock system, but for me that's not what a Vette should sound like. If you're happy with the Corsa's then don't sweat it so much it certainly doesn't sound like a "ricer Civic".

Don't change. I sweated the details until I decided on Corsa Sport. I always recieved positive comments. You only need to please yourself and you made a good choice.

I agree with this comment.
Corsa Sports seem to be the overwhelming choice of the forums.
I have Corsa Sports.
Now I have headers and they sound very good with the Corsas. But not too loud.

The citicism of Corsa, is they sound a little 'high pitched' like a Europeon sportscar, Porsche, etc.

BORLA STINGER + C6 = BEST SOUNDING CAR ON THE ROAD

I have had more compliments on the way my car sounds than I know what to do with. Even my little old mother loves the way they sound.

For what it's worth. I have Sports on my C5 and a friend has them on his C6. We both have X-pipes. I think mine are louder and sound better than his? The issue may be related to the air intake system. His is stock, and I have a Cobra Hood and Blackwing filter w/o accordian connector. Could this be the difference? I have an '08 on order, and I am not sure if I'd put the Sports on it based on my friends C6 sound. Maybe the LS3 with more inces and higher lift cam will make a difference too?

this was new. They are louder now. At WOT Corsas are very loud. Here is a track day clip with my car and several Corvettes. My car is the DSOM 902. The Other Orange C6 had Borlas and LGs.
Some of the other vettes had Bullets.

Inside they sound like this.

The Black Z06 has LGs and OEM open exhaust
All have x-pipes.
Mustang has OEM Exhaust from Rousch
Ferrari is stock.

I made the expensive mistake of going with Corsa Sport first. Now have Borla Stingers no X pipe, and couldn't be more pleased.

2007 M6 Z51, and those four 4" pipes look and sound nasty! :thumbsup:
