Where do you feel the Corvette is on the food chain today? In the past, it seems the Corvette would raise the bar on performance and others would play catch up. Today we have blown Stangs giving many of us a good run, the foreign cars have narrowed the performance gap and Pick up trucks can hit the 12’s! What do you think the General is going to do next? Sure they are selling a ton of Vettes, but they sold a ton of f-bodys too……..
Is GM holding back on us?????
When I say competition, I mean similar cars, similar price range and similar performance range. I am not talking about the guy who stuck a blue bottle on his Pinto, (you know what I mean)……..
I am talking about:
The bag in the M3.
The Grandpa in the Viper
The punk in the Cobra
The geek in the Supra
The yuppie in the Z4
The pin head in the 350 Z (well, maybe?)
The snob in the Boxter
And many others………….
(no sterotypes intended,….. well maybe)
Now, I have ALWAYS HAVE and ALWAYS WILL be a Vette freak, but are we losing ground or gaining ground on the competition? Just some friendly discussion intended between Corvette Owners here.
P.S. (my flame suite statement): I actually do like All of the cars I listed, but I OWN a Vette.
