On Thursday I got my very first 1/18 Corvette C5-R!artyon: It was given to me as part of an award I received from DiecastXchange. I had to share this with you guys, its just too good to believe. I would have bought one a long time ago had I known they were this good! Very nice detail and I'm so glad that it opens, unlike the newer C6R models which don't. I guess these are the last of the great racing Corvette models.

Very cool! I have the #3 Dale Earnhardt 1/18, and I just picked up a 1/18 and 1/43 #8 Dale Jr diecast a week ago. Got 'em for a steal on ebay!

Long shot: Does anyone know if there's a 1:18 2000-2001 (I believe) C5-R available? The silver/black stock width car? Been looking for a while but haven't had any luck.

I have two of the 2001 C5-R's. Both are the #3 car that ran the Daytona 24 hr. race with Dale Sr. and Jr. One is a normal diecast, that is all nice and clean. The second one however has been done to look like it just finished the race, with all the normal dirt and rubber build up.
I am trying to get the C6-R 2005 #4 car, but no one seems to have it. The first place I ordered it from let me know it was out of stock, and it could be around December before they could ship. I presently have an order in with N.C. M., but they to are on back order.

I have a large collection of diecasts here in the UK but of all of them, the 2001 Rolex Daytona car is my favourite. I even have a road going version:
