I just did my every 3 months brake pad inspection/replacement,
and the stock lug nuts with the plastic caps on my factory saw blade wheels on my 1996 vette are rusted, crappy junk IM ashamed to have NEAR my vette,
anyone found nice QUALITY,chrome lug nuts that work and stand up to repeated use without scaring & flaking chrome due to use???

yeah! I know!
theres damn few QUALITY parts out there!
well I CAN DREAM!

IF SNAP-ON, MATCO, and EVEN CRAFTSMAN
can BUILD SOCKETS that GET used DAILY where the CHROME doesn,t flake off nearly INTSANTLY ON THE FIRST USE,
YOU might THINK a LUG NUT could be built that way, since theres no moving parts, and its LOW TECH!

Grumpy,
I had chrome wheels put on my '84 and went with stainless steel. Ok, so they're not chrome but they look real good. No rust and they do shine up with a little elbow grease.

Good luck

I use Tuner Lugs, which all require a special socket. The chrome probably still sucks, but the fact that they give you a special tool to install them makes marring them a little more difficult.
