HERES the type of flow numbers a stock head flows (YOUR HEADS ARE WORSE)
heres the 190cc-195cc AFR heads which I advise
there will be VERY LITTLE differance in low rpm tq between the 180cc and 195cc intake ports, you can always use the AFR 190cc heads as they flow very similar flow numbers to the 195cc but in any case its CROSS sectional area not port volume that controlls the air speeds in any case theres only about a 8% differance in air flow speed which will mean the torque curve will move only about 350 rpm higher max between the 195cc and 180cc , which because the intake and cam plus heads flow so much better will be almost non-detectable in that youll all ready be far high in both torque and hp at any rpm level by 3000rpm as to make the old stock hp/tq a joke by that rpm level
DD2000 guesses at a hp/ tq of 420hp/425 tq with the heads,SY1 intake ,cam and better compression from the heads
now thats not likely but that easy 100-115hp improvement is a cinch to get PROVIDED YOU INSTALL THE COMPLETE COMBO
of either 190cc heads/195cc intake port 68cc chamber (BETTER) cam,modified SY1 and thin head gasket, look call AFR ask them if they think their heads, a SY1 intake and a CRANE 114142 cam plus a slight boost in compression can give your car a 115hp boost over the stock engine,
BTW the AFR part# is 1018 for the 190cc and they cost about $1250 and they also estimate that youll be gaining WELL OVER 150hp
sure the milder cam (crane #114132) I said runs well with the modified cross fire SY1 will cost some hp (compared to the (CRANE#114142)but youll see the diffeance, and remember the SY1 is made to produce more power than a single carb intake! yes your correct,BTW Ill save you the math, youll need to get the 10:1 cpr flat top piston 383 kit for the street, and the 74cc combustion chambers AFR 190cc HEADS with L98 spark plug angles if you intend to run high test gas you find everywhere (some is lousy quality) and get the head gasket as close to .018-.022 as you can for correct quench
fyi DD-2000 and EA pro both guess at OVER a 115 hp improvement at the rear wheels, having done this type mod in the past Im reasonably sure thats UNDERESTIMATED for those listed changes
