I'm wanting to install a new set of heads on my 85 Corvette. Is there a difference between the 85 and 86,87 heads? Will they bolt right on my 85? I found a set of edelbrock performers for $800, but the guy said they were for 87- 91. I think. I'm not sure when the LT-1 came back out. Will the aluminum 113 heads bolt right up? I know they started putting them on in 86. Also what size injectors does my car have? 22#?

the '85 & early 86 heads are iron. The late '86 & all '87 are 113 head casting in aluminun.

The LT1 came out in '92 and yes the 113 heads will bolt right up.

You have 24lb injectors. Ford SVO 24lb injectors are a great replacement for the car.

I don't think the 113 casting showed up until 88

I do know that the late 86 and 87 head are different from the 88-91 heads though. Both are aluminum but the 88-later are better

The iron heads on the 85 and (I think) the early 86 had the EGR passages cast in. The later heads used an external tube to route exhaust gasses to the intake.
