DigitalCorvettes.com to take on Cannonball One Lap of America
DigitalCorvettes.com and the "DC Z", our 2002 Z06 track car, will compete in Brock Yates' extreme driving challenge. Competition starts this Saturday, May 5th in South Bend, Indiana, and will end on May 12th.
The DC Z will be followed by a film crew for the entire event. You can also follow along with frequent updates on DigitalCorvettes.com as we trek across the country. Keep an eye on the front page.
The almost non-stop 5,600-mile journey will take us through 12 states, with stops to compete at 9 premier racetracks. With 10 events over just 8 days, on one set of street tires, it should be quite the challenge.
Piloted by Patrick Gramm and co-piloted by Steve Hardy, this event will test the endurance of both the DC Z, and the drivers. The car will be running on a dialed-in Pfadt Racing Suspension, with setup and tech done by the chief mechanic of the DC Corvette fleet, Corvette guru Al Dashto at Brakes Plus in Des Plaines, Illinois.
This is just about the toughest driving challenge that exists, which is why DigitalCorvettes.com is entering. We are ready to go, and we are in it to win it.
