I want to take out the inner sleeve and make a new one that is deeper so that I can trim the bushings down and have it work properly.

In stock form it isn't even deep enough.

I'll try to beat them out but I was just wondering if anyone else has done it. It looks like they should come out pretty easily.

I'll get right on it.

I'm thinking about just saying screw it and leaving them the way they are.

Pretty crappy design from GM.

Bend the tabs up and press the bushing out. Once you get the hole thing out put the new one in and fold the tabs over. The bushing will come out just like the pic you have up there.

I only want to take the center cup out. I think I'll just weld plates over and use no bushing. The rubber/poly bushings don't even fit right.

I don't know exactly anymore, since they are in, but my frame was powdercoated and the still could be moved a fair amount. I'm still thinking about replacing them.
