New Member Here & Couple Questions

I just sold my low 11 second 03 Cobra and might be purchasing a 03 Z06 very soon and have some questions. I want to know how strong the stock rearend or axels are on a c5z06 because i see many c6 guys going to c5 axels and i will track this car some and want to have a solid setup having not to worry about breaking at the starting line. Does a tune help on a c5z06 as much as say a stock c5 or c6? I plan on putting drag radials, full exhaust, cai and tune for now than maybe a cam and head package this winter.Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

I've heard of many people running a stock rear end on their C5's, and it should have no problem handling the mods you have planned.

A quality tune will benefit any LS motor.....

Oh, yeah... WELCOME TO DC! :buhbye:

The stock axles are generally fine . The guys who go hardened are usually over 450 rwhp

Thanks for the reply! Is it true that the c5 axels are actually stronger than the c6 axels that i see some guys switching to. Is the clutch on a c5z06 good up to 450rwhp also. Thanks!
