You know, someone sent me that a couple of years ago. I saved it to my server and just recently stumbled across it again.

That's AWESOME!!

I did that in the 87! I was heading westbound on 191st St. nearing a stale green light at Rt.45. I got on the gas and I hit the intersection at 55 mph. This intersection has a slight bump E&W bound.

I got all 4 off the ground!!! WHOOO HOOO!!!!

Thank Goodness there wasn't one of Mokena's finest sitting at the BP or Shell  beacause the sound of all 4 returning back to the pavement was SAWEEEEET! :D

I got lost in Kenosha WI. Took a wrong turn and went off of a 4 foot hill at 50. I was in my escort and busted the rear wheel off. It was a very interesting drive home on 3 wheels.:surprised

so is that a ZR1 cause it has no middle tail light? but i dont see a high third brake light and the lisence plate cut out doesnt look wide enough. Is that a vett in europe? or just have the light conversion? are vetts shipped overseas come without middle brake lights?
im confused

It could be an aftermarket rear bumper...I saw them in Ecklers without the 3rd brake light?

No idea. I would guess it's a ZR1 just by looking at the rear.... but can't say for certain.

Targa Tasmania

I think you'll find that photo was taken during the Targa Tasmania. Tasmania is a state of Australia, and they hold a road race around the island every year.

(http://www.targa.org.au for more details)

The next one is April 27 to May 2, 2004. By the T99 on the number plate, I'd guess that was during the 1999 race. This would be a brilliant event to watch and an even better one to compete in. Six days of flogging "what ya got" around some pretty spectacular public roads. Many different classes for everything from veteran and vintage cars right through to brand new Porsches and Ferraris. Lots of beautiful and rare collectables.

BTW, that back end is typical of Australian Corvettes. Our laws specify amber indictor lights that are separate from the brake/tail lights. Corvettes have never been sold in Australia by GM. All the examples here are private imports. From what I can tell, the taillight combination must be sourced from European spec cars as built by Chev. I think the actual Euro version has the amber light inboard. As for why the centre stop light is not there, that's anybody's guess. Aren't the rear panels on C4 interchangable among most of the C4s? I know the flutes/gills/whatever they're called are not from an '84 like mine.

You'll also find that car is Right Hand Drive, so the pilot is sitting on the wrong side.
