We worked out a plan tonight on the rear backhalf of his racecar.

It just needs a new set of valvesprings to insure 9500 Redline capability again.

Next big move will Be Turbo charged.
Discussing stroker engine builds.
Closer to 1000 Normal aspirated the better.

Its just a 302 ford punched.030 over but has good parts everywhere with a full set of Titanium valves.
8.40 best.
8.60 ET solid.

have to upgrade to a TH400.

C4 Ford automatic 3-speed with transbrake used all these years.

One of Ed's Bud local drag racer broke a 33-spline axle shaft last weekend with 1650 Horsepower.
Ford 8.8 in a 5.0.

One of the worst situations at speed in any car .
Car torque steers from the rear.
Tires lost traction.
If the differential is locked up and rest of driveline your in for a horrific ride and pretty much zero you can do to recover it.
Likely going to DIE.

**** scares me when I build diffs for Racers.
Seen it happen many times to others.
I have turned down 10's of thousands cash jobs because I just refused to build with stuff way under HP Limits.

Ed & me were lightly arguing about the Ford 8.8 Diff in his car.

I built it for him back in 2004.

I told him its time to retire and upgrade.
Ford 9 Mark Williams or Strange 9 inch.

Sent him pics of my own for the T/A.

He replied back ITS ****ING HUGE ! ;)

One of the local Racers stopped by last night around 11 pm.
Him and Ed were talking about a Race Fab shop in Kentucky Gunny.

Real Young guys & really good. Never heard of them, have to ask Ed who those guys are again.

I watched the Guys Facebook Video of him Racing.
8.06 ET, front wheels carried off the ground 200 feet 2 inches high. He can not keep the front wheels on the ground still.
His class allows no wheelie bars.

Ed bought some TIG Torch welding gear for his Miller Dynasty 220 Water cooled TIG.
No more foot pedal required for in the car and in insane contortion body placement welds.

Working Awesome !

Says he going to call them up and say I am sending your ****ing **** back to you ****s !
LOL.

2 Bars were OK for the Main cage, we got in place last light, Pass through the dash into the Main cage down below the drivers seat.

Rest we are making ourselves from 12 foot long new 4130 Chromemoly tubing sticks.

Did not get many pics last night.
We were working and test fitting, modifying, Notching, hand fitting, ect.
Building Roll cages is really hard work.

I got hurt kinda bad last night at Eds Garage last night.
I was grinding shaping steel floor braces for the 1974 Buick Opel rollcage project.
Using a Delta 12 inch disc grinder table.
Had my gloves on & safety glasses.

Sucked the steel plate in and my left hand glove then spit back at my face with a Vengeance.

About 12 AM.

Man it hurt real bad.
Usually pain does not phase me.
Felt like my Hand got smashed with a 20lb sledgehammer..
****.

Ed was freaking out.
Blood everywhere.

Oh well.
Go back to work Sunday.

I said **** it on that Corvette job.
I want to work on RACE CARS.

3 hours driving everyday to work & back home.
Not worth it.

Run Your own show with a close longtime friend.
Better off.
Privateers.

No better time than present.
No Prep Drag racing has dominated the entire USA & Rest of Free World overseas.

What I do in Real life.
But I hope you heal up fast, anyways, bud. Try to keep it clean. I know how hard that is for us mechanics to do.
