For you guys running electric fans, is it necessary to enclose the electric fan in a shroud that covers the entire radiator? Or will the fan cool just as good just sitting in front with the fan diameter covering the radiator? I will be running a high cfm fan out of a mark VII that I all ready have which is a single fan. I will have A/C, automatic transmission, and a 4 pass aluminum radiator. Any opinions out there thanks Mark.

I did the same thing, but used a fan out of a Camaro Z-28.

I used the original shroud (it was busted up at the top), trimmed it some, and put the Z-28 top cover on with bolts.

It helps to pull air through the radiator.

The Mk VIII fan is in a shroud.
It wont quite cover the whole core, but it covers most of it.
If you use it, you wont have a problem keeping cool.

I have been running a Permacool 16" fan, mounted on my made up mounts without a shroud, for about 4 years. Stroker engine with 4 row big block radiator.

No problems keeping cool.

But, when I went to their web site to get the model number, they don't list their fans??
