Well... after a lot of scraped knuckles, guesswork, advice from you all, and more guesswork... She finally runs. I got her going about a week ago and have been busy working out the kinks. I got my fuel leak corrected, my coolant leak fixed, throttle assembly reassembled, airfilter cleaned and put back together and exhaust remounted. I'm still working on the doorpanels, electrical and trying to figure what in the hell is draining my battery... and don't get me started on these friggin brakes... but anyway, I am making progress and hope to be on the road in the coming weeks.

So, without more yapping from me...

As my friend put it last night... It sounds like the world is going to explode.

Thanks. :)

I've tuned the idle setting on the carb, so it sounds smoother at idle (especially had to change it after hooking up my throttle kick-down spring).

Smoke... isn't that what exhaust is? It was a little dark in the video I suppose because, first: lighting, and also because that's the first time it ran in 7 or 8 years. Might have been working through some gunk in the lines. It wasn't a thick black oily smoke or anything... but, aside from my mom's little 05 bug, all my cars have had visible exhaust... hmmn.

Glad you all liked it. I'll get some better ones once I'm on the road.

I'm really happy for you man. I know getting that car up and running means alot to you. I believe there is some family history behind that car, which has got to make it sweeter when you fired it up. Has the paper work gone through for your shotgun? You said you would send pics:thumbsup: Keep up the good work.

Thanks! :)

No paperwork on the shotty this summer. Been busy putting money in this Vette! :D There's some serious family history, used to be my grandfather's show car. Hasn't run in about 8 years, until now.

I'm hoping to be on the road at the end of this week. Got my last bit of parts for the brakes *I hope* the other day. Now, just need the time to finish. Then, I'll clean her up, get out in the sun and take some beauty shots.
