Okay..okay, okay, okay...
You know what would be so cool?
Imagine for a moment that car with the late C4 bumpers....and a grand sport stripe down the top!!!!
Now....a set of five spoke ZR1 wheels and the big C5 brake package.
Maybe swap out the interior to a bright red and go white on the outside so it will be cooler in the Summer.
Oh....then, you could put a killer clutch in there - and some serious cam/intake work!!!!!!!!!
:smack
Alright, just messing with you. Seriously, that car in your hands is going to be one of the most wicked Zs in the country in about 18 months.
Can't wait to see what you do with her...and most of all - can't wait to hear how you just drive the wheels off if everyday.
You know, to do that it would be easier to install the LT5 in my 89 then.. LOL
Seriously though, I have decided on the following:
-C5 brakes will get installed at some point, as well as a 4th Gen F-Body MAster Cylinder
-No GS Wheels
-No GS Stripe
-Interior will be Black with Mod-Red seats.
As for the body, I thought of the updated look, but the rear trim molding for 91-95 is non-existent unless it is from a wrecked/parted one. I have also thought of the aftermarket front bumper with the thin molding, same with the front fenders. But I kind of like the OEM body on this one… For now.. LOL
First on the agenda is the interior, I am removing everything, cleaning it and reinstalling what is good.. I need a bunch hatch trim and pieces, it also looks like I am going to need carpet, the stuff in there does not look like it can be saved..
So plan of attack:
-Interior remove, clean, install
-Plug wires (done in parallel with the interior)
-Align the hood and Drivers door
-Hurst Shifter
Then over winter
-Weatherstripping
-reviving the paint and seeing what it will take to fix the one ¼ panel
When I get to the point of paint, I will decide what to do. but this will be longer then 18months to be complete, although I will drive it next year, my money tree is not like it use to be.. Plus I gotta sell my 89
