I'm installing a 400 hp package FItech self tuning throttle body package on a 74 Corvette. As of this moment totally undecided about the air filter. The fuel feed/return lines run straight into the stock 74 air filter. I gave it a good old air hammer work over, but not enough room. Considering banjo fittings but have to confirm the threads and size.

I can't remember how much air cleaner can get under a stock 74 hood. 350 small block, with the low rise edelbrock intake. The EFI unit is no higher than a stock Rochester. If it weren't for the fuel line - it would all go anyway.

Anybody else out there mess with one of these on a similar setup?

clear detailed pictures, from several perspective angles,
would be very very helpful here and the old stand-bye,
of placing a few balls of modeling clay on the air filter lid,
and shutting the hood to verify the true hood clearance,
on the front and rear of the air cleaner certainly would be useful info

In this picture you can see in the outline of the green tape where the fuel lines and fuel pressure regulator hit the stock air cleaner. This air cleaner has already been pounded in to clear an HEI swap. I’ve got two different drop down bases coming today to try. I’m sure which ever one fits will have to be beat up to clear. Intake should be here today too so I can mock it all up.

I have too wonder if a couple appropriately sized and properly threaded 45 degree adapters might help reduce fitting clearance, and improve the line angle
