Hey guys,

I have quite the patch of clearcoat missing on my front bumper. It is slowly growing as well. Is it possible to just have the bumper re-cleared, prices? How much, ballpark would it cost to re-paint & clear coat (a) just the bumper, (b) the whole car?

Without seeing the car or knowing the paint condition of the rest of the car (fade) the minimum you will have to do is sand the front bumper clear coat (without sanding the edges thru) until all the exsisting clear coat is gone or atleast "feathered out". Then prime, block sand, prime again, wet sand then color paint and re clear (multi coats) wet sand again and buff.

If the clear is only bad in one spot and if you can wet sand (with a block) and make it even you might be able to "color blend" the area and re clear the intire bumper

Note the bumpers on a '75 did not exactly match the car from the factory:lookinup:
