I recently purchased a 2 car detached garage that came with a house. The garage floor is concrete that has had hardener/colorant put in it, so it's kind of a brick red color. The previous owners parked their daily driver truck in the one bay all the time, and over the years the salt and water from the winter has pitted the concrete away. I will be chipping away the loose stuff, prepping it, and putting a coat of topping mix over the bad spot, but that leaves me with an ugly red floor and an uglier grey patch....

So, my question is, what all do you guys have on your garage floors? I have used both Acrylic and Enamel grey floor paint in the past, and wasn't that satisfied with either... I have been thinking about tile, as I can get it through work, it's durable, easy to clean and looks great. I have also seen these multi-step products that have hardeners and whatnot in them. Has anybody used these with great success in epoxy garage flooring phoenix? Pictures would be great! I saw the C5 emblem thread, but it didn't have that much information.
I wanted to get some opinions on this alternative flooring for my garage. Let me provide a little background.

This garage is used as a weekend DIY. I would on cars and rarely do any type of pounding or work on the floor. The floor is poured concrete that is about 6 yrs old. There are no cracks in the floor. I have a 4 post lift that will be installed on the new floor that will take up 1/2 the garage. I dont plan on pulling engines or rolling around an engine lift, but it may happen if needed (hopefully not). If this type of work will be performed I will be laying down something so there is no direct contact to the floor. At the end of the day its a garage. I would say I am very organized and like to take care of my things. Any type of welding (if any) will be performed on a table, not the floor.

I went old school, commercial vinyl tile, least expensive and had fun doing it. Have to have a very smooth cemenr floor. I looked into the raised deck tiles and also the paint/ceramic coatings, just a tad too expensive for 1600 sq ft.
Most of what I do in my garage is detailing and have friends over to hang out.
