It's certainly possible for a throttle body to cause a stiff throttle pedal. If the pedal and cable move freely without the throttle body attached, these are a couple things to look for.

I had a similar problem with mine. I found that the journals for the throttle shaft had worn out. Check to see if the shaft can move up and down / forward and backward in the throttle body without rotating it. There should be next to no movement this direction.

It's also common for dirt to build up behind the throttle plates causing them to stick, which can be easily cleaned if you find this to be the case. Usually this will cause it to be tough to push at first, but after you move it past part throttle it feels fairly normal.

Get yourself a can of carb/throttle plate cleaner , spray some on a clean rag , with the throttle plate open wipe inside all around the plate and bore . That should take care of your problem . If not then what wd40 said about the shaft bushing is right .

When I cleaned my throttle body once in the past, I had a mechanic point out that I had reversed the throttle and cruise control cables when I reattached them. That caused a lot of friction that I didn't have before. You might want to access photos or videos and see if perhaps that's what happened...
