Hello guys.
I have a friend, who's 4+3 is leaking. He was asking me if there is a some kind of GEAR OIL STOP LEAK solution? The transmission is leaking from the middle where the overdrive unit and gear box jointed together.
The gear oil is leaking.

Does anyone know what he can use to put into his 4+3 to stop the leak?
Thank you!

The transmission is leaking from the seal.
That is leaking ?
Gearbox oil or trans fluid?

Which seal?

There is one on front of trans , one on end of overdrive unit and at least one on the adapter in the middle between the two sections

Common for bottom bolt hole in trans case to crack allowing fluid to leak there

The bottom bolt seem okay.

the seal between the overdrive and manual isn't realy a seal. there is no fluid in that small space. think of each unit as a separately sealed piece.

Places to look closer at. If you are sure it's heavy oil not trans fluid--

Check the reverse light switch.
Check the shifter linkage bolts going into the case. These are small o rings and easily replaced with trans on car. But make sure you get the correct size from dealer. Trying to get a "not perfect sized" ring to stop the leak didn't work. They go on the inside.... you can look up a pic for any super t-10 and it will give you the build up for the manul trans portion.

What about the seal aound the input shaft cover.. this is RTV only seal.

if it is truly leaking out the split between the parts, you'll need to remove them and replace the rear seal on the manual side output shaft. not hard but a little tricky to hold the bearings internal to the trans where the support rod for the overdrive slips in.
