Raidmagic should chime in soon, he's the C4 go-to guy around here, and I know he just did a cool rear end swap on his 87:thumbsup:
A few years back when I had my gears done I just took my car to a place here in town (sorry, not in florida). When I went to pick it up I was bsing with the guy and he made a comment that he wished I just dropped off the housing, since it would have cut my bill in half.Raid, thanks for the offer! I might take you up on it. No, it's not my DD. I was just gonna pull the pumpkin out and just take it to a shop for the gear swap. I know better than to attempt it myself. But, if I can find the whole unit, that would definitely be the way to go...cheaper anyway. That'll leave a little more $$$ for the new exhaust...LOL I'll look around and see what I can come up with....thanks!
Your avatar needs to be the Dana 44 case you showed me before we went on one lap.:laughing:I'm not in Florida but I will set it up for you if you want to.
AL.
4 hours seems very short to do that swap...great job! The 3.73 must just eat tires. I can hardly get a bark right now with those weak arss 2.59's...:thud:Here's a great write up that some really smart guy did. Check it out. The pics are great too.

:agree:.............. I would call Antivenom.
Very true......many times pulling the center section out yourself (and putting it back in after the gear work)will cut the bill WAY down under half........like you mentioned, by all means do it if you can.......it's a 2 hour job after you've done it a few times:thumbsup:A few years back when I had my gears done I just took my car to a place here in town (sorry, not in florida). At the time (and I still never do) I didn't have the free time to sink in a mod that detailed.. if you can, do it.
