Guys, I need a new battery like right now. No, make that like yesterday . However I am absolutely stumped on which one to get.:thud:

Sometimes I think I want to go with AC Delco batt (my stock has lasted close to 5 yrs performed well but did have to use a tender), sometimes the red top, sometimes the napa batt, sometimes the exide...I don't know anymore  . All I know is that I need one like right now. No, make that like yesterday.

Help me pick one please, please. I am leaning towards the red top. But I don't want to spend no 150 ducks for it. Does anyone know where I can get one for 100-125 duckies.

One last question for you red topers: Have you guys come out to your cars after not starting them for say 3 weeks and had any trouble starting your cars??? That is without having to use a trickle chrager/tender.

Undecided and thank You from a guy that needs a batt like right now. No, make that like yesterday.:thud:

If you do a search on the forum for batteries, you'll find tons of info. I'll probably get flamed for this one, but have you considered Wal Mart? My Monte needed one a couple months ago and a fellow Corvette owner told me to buy Wal Mart brand. It's called Ever Start and is made by Delco. Been absolutely great for me. And I know I'm gonna need a new one in the Vette soon too, so I'm considering it. The Optima batteries seem to be the choice of most owners, but I've heard bad about them too. Anyhow, do like I suggested and do a search here. You'll find what you need.

Thanks Z. I have done" the search". It's the reason why I am undecided . I need about ten good final, definative, absolute posts from guys that are absolute for certain that they know best-est, more than anyone else, that the batt they recomend is the baddest mofo batt around for under about 120 duckies.

One thing is for certain for me and that is that I need a batt like right now. No, make that like yesterday. :surprised:thud:

O Tay, I'm going with the red top. If I don't like it I'm coming after everyone here :whip: .

Last question. Where is the bestest place to get the bestest deal on the red top that you all are making me get. On some of the older previous posts I've read , I sort of remember, in my drunken stuper that is :drink:, others proclaiming that they paid somewhere around $125 (some even slightly less) for the optima red top. I've searched at the local pip boys, auto zoners,... and they all want 'bout $145-150.

Someone help me find a deal.

Squeek Cheap Squeek Squeek < sound my cheap ass makes when I walk.

Also I want to thank all those that have posted and recognized that I need a batt like right now. No, make that like yesterday.

:D Matt

Hey Boeingman, what did you end up with?

I've been wondering about my battery lately in my 2002. I'm thinking an Optima as well but haven't decided as yet.

I'll assume you must work at Boeing, what program are you on?

C-17 here.....

Haven't left the house yet to make my purchase but it's a 99.9653% done deal on the optima red top. I need 'bout 2 more cups of java bean juice before I have the energy to leave the house yet.

As far as working for Boeing, I do not. However I am a Captain on the 757 and after having flown many diferent types of aeromachines made by different manufacturers I love the boeings dearly. Therefore, I am a BoeingMan.
