Chevrolet will bring two exciting concepts to the SEMA show which kicks off tomorrow in Las Vegas. Joining the Jake Grand Sport special edition we saw in the GM SEMA preview video is one of the most exciting concepts we’ve seen from Team Corvette: the 2011 Corvette Z06X Track Car Concept.

I am totally digging the wheels.

I would love to see more detailed information on the goodies. Especially manufacturer information.

First NON leaf spring Corvette ever!

And, guess who is supplying the coilovers for this awesome Corvette?

PFADT RACING! :partyon:

If you are going to SEMA, say hi to the Pfadt's in the Chevrolet booth.

This is a HUGE WIN for Corvette owners...This is what we have been asking for! Indeed a Factory TRACK car, with all the goodies from the Z and from our favorite suspension retailer
PFADT!

As much as I love the car and the idea, there's one big problem: not many people are willing to drop over $120k on a track-only vehicle right now. I'm looking at building an SCCA eligible vehicle, but my projected cost is about 1/4 what I think that car will go for. I hope they sell like crazy - and kick some ACR ass.

What are the real chances of this car being produced? And any idea on price?
GM is no doubt measuring the response to the cars.

My inside word is that the Corvette Z06X has a strong chance of going production versus the Camaro version... which is not-so-likely to ever be produced.

This is the car they have needed to produce for a while now. Get some REAL factory made, race ready, customer cars out on the track.

Lets open up the old XLR assembly line and start production.

This sends awesomeness up my spine.
