"Electronic" in this case does not mean a dual clutch system without a left pedal. It means the left pedal is there and acts like a rheostat to control an electronic actuator on the clutch assembly. The applications are just about limitless. This would eliminate hydraulic lines used today and should save weight, reduce packaging challenges, and could be routed through one or more of the onboard computers to gather information or even provide an auxiliary control of some kind. Millennials could drive stick shifts!!! AND this would make putting a manual shift in the C8, a distinct possibility.

Once again, Jalopnik's research dept found this.
