Go look at a pie chart of spending and tell us how much of it is on social spending. It's the vast majority. So if you are going to make meaningful cuts, it's gonna have to involve social programs. Sheesh!Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace.
What a frigggn right winger axe attack.
They wont even discuss any budget cuts other than social cuts.
They get 5 pubs and one dem together and beat the **** outta him.
And when he has a viable answer or question, they just shake their heads and smile without answers..
That's Journalism and News?
But not exclussively so! That's all they were talking about and all Ryan's budget has, other than more tax cuts for the rich.Go look at a pie chart of spending and tell us how much of it is on social spending. It's the vast majority. So if you are going to make meaningful cuts, it's gonna have to involve social programs. Sheesh!
There is no shrinking of govt or govt reduction of govt redundant jobs/departments, spending.Go look at a pie chart of spending and tell us how much of it is on social spending. It's the vast majority. So if you are going to make meaningful cuts, it's gonna have to involve social programs. Sheesh!
Scary!Meanwhile, critics warn that tax hikes will, in all likelihood, have a limited impact on the deficit -- unless they are raised beyond recognition.
The estimate from the nonpartisan Public Notice demonstrated this point. It showed that if Washington wanted to hoist tax rates to actually cover spending, the top tier rate would go from 35 to 88 percent; the middle tier from 25 to 63 percent and the lowest from 10 to 25 percent.
that is what the non-partisan group Pubic Notice says would have to happen to the tax rate for income taxes to actually cover the entire budget....makes ya think doesnt it....
but that is just it- it has been shown over and over again that raising taxes just wont cut it. we have to drastically slash spending by at least 50%, if not 66%. Doing so will, out of necessity, eliminate soooo many programs that the left holds dearest, in addition to intelligently cutting defense spending (without leaving it a hollow shell unable to project military power anywhere).Scary!
See, if tax hikes cannot fix it, and spending cuts cannot fix it, the only option is to do as much of both as we reasonably can.
Good luck telling the voters that they will be paying more and getting less and for a very long time.
I have been saying for over 20 years that the trade defecit will kill us. Money flowing out of this country by the hundreds of billions per year? Ridiculous!absolutely we need to change the tax code, wether by the fair tax or the flat tax. we could start by chopping the irs by 90%.
We also need a plan in place to phase out almost all of these programs that are NOT a responsibility of the fed govt-most of these are pet projects anyway. This needs to happen over at most 5 years. We also need to do what ever it takes to encourage industry and business to come back to the US, wether it be heavy taxes on imports or what ever it takes. we cannot play fair when the rest of the world does not, that is a loose loose situation.
