May-October: Hot, Humid, ExpensiveWelcome aboard! Kind of curious, what's the living conditions in your area like?
I was referring to dedoyaar43's country of origin on his avatar, India. My mistake, should have quoted the post.May-October: Hot, Humid, Expensive
November-April: Beautiful Weather, Horrendous Traffic, Expensive
One thing common for all seasons and locations: Expensive and getting more so every day.
Not too far in the past, I used to love riding the Harley on the Appalachian roads in Western Maryland. If I ever leave the bluegrass eastern Tennessee is my destination. Mountains crooked roads decent weather good ole boys. I’d fit right in with the hillbillies.
I can report same issues in Treasure Coast ( Stuart ) area of Florida. Big building boom last 5 years, mostly apartments, traffic now near what south Florida ( Ft Lauderdale ) has. Zero plannning for incresed traffic. Prices and rents through the roof. No fun driving to Coffee & Cars - just traffic light to next one at 12-20 MPH.
So sad, what Florida has become and it's getting worse by the day.I can report same issues in Treasure Coast ( Stuart ) area of Florida. I hear ya, but it won't be free for long if the Nor'easters and Californians keep moving here.Down side to being know as the freest state in the country. Plus the weather, that’s makes it a very popular place to live.
Freedom to drive without a license or insurance or exhaust system and resulting of some of the highest auto insurance rates in the nation - easily double Virginia or North Carolina. Florida also has almost all of the homeowners insurance lawsuits in the US resulting in very rich lawyers, "free roofs" for homeowners and 50-100% yearly increases in premiums forcing some to leave state even if their home is paid for. That's "freedom" for sure.Down side to being know as the freest state in the country. Plus the weather, that’s makes it a very popular place to live.
