my son has a 2004 tahoe he has been haveing electrical issues. HE replaced the battery a few months ago but the power windows electric seats & seat heaters didnt work. WE replaced a 50 amp fuse & it fixed both power windows & the passenger seat motor.Yesterday the battery died he had the chargeing system checked at an auto parts store & they said his alternator was bad & that caused the new battery to fail. so he replaced both but when he hooked the ground wire he got a bad arc I told him to check & clean all the grounds & disconect the drivers side power seat & he is still getting a bad arc when he hooks up the ground wire. Any ideas?

Unhook one side of the battery, place a volt meter between the cable end & the battery. If the volt is near battery voltage then you have a draw. Start removing fuses until the draw goes down, that should help you track down the circuit its on.
Do a google search on "04 tahoe battery draw" to see if its a common problem. These can be tough to figure out.
