ive got a 69 350 i was planning to pull the motor in this afternoon, but the oil pressure line is the last thing connected.

ive unscrewed the cover on it, but i can not get the line to come out of the fitting. ill cut it, if i absolutely have to, but i really dont want to.

any suggestions for removing it? if i do cut it, can i reuse the cable some how? ive got plenty of slack in the cable, but im concerned with resealing it, and i really really dont want to run a new cable. ive been behind my dash every year for the last 6 years... id really like not to have to disassemble it this year.

The stuck in part as shown is upside down, no worries, just cut the line and replace with new a new one. cheap part at NAPA. just my 2 cents.

The part you show appears to be a compression fitting. Cut the tubing close to the old piece, slip a new nut onto the tube and then a new ferrel. When you tighten it up the ferrel squeezes into the tubing and makes a seal. It can then be disconnected and reconnected if needed. Most ferrels I've seen are more like tapered rings, and don't have the "fingers" like the one shown.
