Ok first off i have a 2000 hardtop i missed a shift and whamo bent 12 valves so i got a real good deal on a set of 241 casting heads wanted the 243 heads but just couldnt swing i.. So in short what head gaskets and head bolts would i use that for a 2k vette 0r for the 02 t/a there off of then i was even more confused by there being different part numbers for head bolts and such are there different length head bolts for various years...

Next question Ok so its been down for a bit so i decided to lower it followed the steps in here really straight forward thanks for everyone that posted in that thread lots of help but i lowered it as far as it would go on the stock bolts but is really still high i have FE3 suspension is there a huge differance in ride height compared to z51
for some reason i thought i had z51 but not according to the rpo codes damn it

ok im even more confused i searched the site for z51 some post's say that all 00 frc's have z51 as the base suspension then in the same post somone says they dont anyone have some input lol in my glovebox i have the rpo code fe3 but it does not say z51 anywhere i look

I'm fairly certain all hardtops were Z51s... I'm not sure of the code, but I'm sure it's similar to how the Z06 had the FE4 suspension code. FE3 sounds right for the Z51 suspension. There's a lot of information on here about lowering if you still feel like you want to. I think the how-to thread is a sticky on one of the C5 forums.

As for the head gaskets, I can't help you there. Good luck and keep us posted! :cheers:

i already lowered it and i can still fit four fingers from top of tire to fender lol just seems a bit high and was wondering if z51 option made a differance in ride height granted the hood is off and the top half of the motor so im sure it will drop a little more
