Help me pick an option.

To start, I have found a ton of 01 Z06s with either too many miles, used too much, or just right with a higher price tag. I recently came up on just the color I want. The car that I found is an 02 Le Man or Electron Blue(isnt it eb that year?) hatchback. Now for the problem. While one is cheaper, the other takes more pressure under performace. The first things that will be done to my car will be an A&A SC kit installed and spec clutch, lg and borla exhaust. Here are the cars...

First. 01 Z06- 26300 miles. Higher price, but new rubber and rims.

Second. 02 Hatchback (possibly a Z51 car, still waiting on reply) with 15,000 miles.

The price of the second one really lures me in. Then again, I worry about things coming unglued in the ls1 rather than the ls6. Ive been assured of the kit being tuned right that it wont harm the ls1. Also, I've heard a lot say their tranny's stock with a good clutch stood the pressure. I dunno, Help Me Out!

Do you like the look of the Z or the coupe? Do you like red or blue/ If neither of these matter. I would lean toward the coupe, Attractive price and for the 5K difference you could do some serious modding.

Both look very clean, but I like Blue, so it would be an easy pick for me. Plus I like the Coupe body style better than the HT. I've got a 1999 C5, Z51 with a LS6 Crate Engine (Modified with 475 hp head and cam package) and 2004 Z06 Clutch. My M6 (LS1 Tranny) works with no problem and I don't have the over heating issues the M12, Z06 Tranny's have. Bottom line, which one do you like. That's what's importaint. Good luck

I found out the blue one is in fact a Z51 car. All of the extra goodies are really starting to grow on me. Full optioned car pretty much with HUD and all. It even has the blue I want and chrome factory rims, which is another plus. Instead of worrying about the higher priced Z, the 15,000 miles and $25,000 price tag REALLY sparks my interest. That is just so cheap for the color rarity and mileage. Currently, I have asked the guy if it is a title rebuilt or damage of any kind on savagable titles. Hopefully it isn't and if I decided to pick it up it will be clean as I've seen in some of the pic's he sent me.

I truely fear the worst on that blue car. You know when it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. So, something else hit my mind. I thought about it and with the budget I have, I might can get a cheaper auto car and get an RPM tranny installed and trq converter. I figured a very strong auto tranny for a C5 will run me what prob 3000 with converter or a little more. (correct me if im wrong), But I worry about down shifts and how it feels in an auto with 500RWHP going through it feels like. So give me some opinions. Auto cars a plentiful around here as compared to manual.
