Well I know its hard to picture now but when I am done with it it will be somewhere around 800WHP and 2600 pounds. I finished stripping it and got it to the sandblaster today.

This car is very lite!

I will have it back in 3-4 weeks then the hard work begins.

ScaraB

I had a friend build one of these with a ZZ crate motor from a kit. I think the kit was called "Scarab". It was very fast. It handled like crap but, with an aluminum motor I think it would be a great car.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

I knew someone who had a 260Z. It was a fun car. Of course, she eventually got a Vette and never looked back....;)

Thats cool man, I'm building a Datsun too, only with a 260z. Mine won't be anywhere near your hp levels either. I have a lt1 and a t56 going into mine.
Mine is just sitting right now, I have no money for it at the moment. I have to rebuild the motor before I can do anything else. And if I'm going to rebuild it I might as well do it right.
Anyway I asume you already know about hybridz.org, if not check it out they have a lot of info over there.

The LS1 only weighs like 60 pounds more then the stock L24 and it sits further back. Most people that have the LS1 swap say that the handling is still just as good as a stock 240z. I will keep posting all my progress here.

for some reason I've always loved the looks of those old cars. Gonna have to get me one,one of these days. Never been a rice fan but those cars have good taste in styling. Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done dude.

It's coming along slowly. I'm doing all the body work right now, shaving stuff off, straightening body panels stuff like that. I want the body very straight without using bondo and thats a time consuming proses especially when the body panels look as straight as a jap-crap body kit on a civic. I don't wont to post one pic at a time I will just get all the body pics up when im done with the body work. I also work full time and go to medical school so I don't have as much time as I would like to have to work on it. I will try to get some pics up soon.

Looks like that Camaro went sideways into a fire hydrant. OUCH.

As for the Datsun, that thing rocks. I bet it will be bad ass when you are done. Take your time.
