I don,t have a dyno but ,well factory numbers are 502hp/502 tq but is VERY easy to get 550hp/550 tq from one set up like that with the custom EFI. and they seel engines strait from chevy that clock at 575-700 hp
Any idea how much the 502 weighs as compared to an iron block 350? If you could keep the weight down, it would make for a hell of an upgrade! Nice to finally see some quality pics of a BB install. Maybe an aluminum 427 BB would keep the weight & balance on par with the standard 350.
the august 1998 VETTE magazine shows how to do the swap, an all aluminum BBC weighs LESS THAN an IRON sbc engine. a BBC wit aluminum heads,waterpump, and intake only weighs about 70lbs more than a stock iron sbc engine, not really enought to notice!
