I might not be going with a 383 (Money might be too tight) but how do you think this set-up will work with that intake w/ 24lb Injectors & 52mm TB?

Main parts:
91 350 block (Fresh rebuild Forged Rods & Pistons)
700r4 Trans
Ported 113 Aluminum heads w/ 1.6 Roller Rockers
ZZ9 Cam (.05" Duration 212/226, Lift .515/.554, Lobe Sep. 112deg)
Hooker 1 5/8" Longtube headers (or 1/3/4 if you suggest)
SLP 2600 Stall Converter
3.73 gears

Thanks,
Mark

Also what distrubitor will I need to buy, do you have a Part#?

the CUSTOM stealth ram should SIGNIFICANTLY increase your engines abillity to breath in the upper rpm range, READ THESE

http://www.gmhightechperformance.com/tech/0307htp_holleystealth/

http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/winter01/dyno/dyno021105/webpage021105.html

I gained almost a full second in the 1/4 mile BUT my ENGINE WAS SEVERLY RESTRICTED WITH THE TPI intake (YOUR RESULTS WILL BE DIFFERANT,IT DEPENDS ON YOUR ENGINE/TRANS COMBO, and YOUR TUNING SKILLS)
IT COMES WITH DETAILED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, call me
1-561-792-5308 we can answer questions better on the phone (i type with one finger and although im reasonably good at it its slow compared to a phone call!

BTW the HOLLEY 890-160 distributor is the one DESIGNED for the STEALTH RAM, BUT almost any salvage yard can provide a small base remote coil HEI for far less money from a late model camaro that works just fine! (don,t forget to clip off and take the wire harness connectors, and some of the connector wires, you might need to fabricate adapter plugs depends on the years involved)

btw with that cam, your more than likely better off to stay with the 1 5/8" headers

Thanks Grumpy!
This StealthRam is sounding better and better all the time.
I have 2 options as far as engines are concerned, either go with the on I already listed or buy a Crate motor like the one you see here, as it also fits into my budget of $5,000 total (Including intake).

But I'm not sure if that Intake will work on Vortec heads?

Any thoughts on this engine combination?

DON,T buy a VORTEC ENGINE.THEY ARE SEVERLY LIMITED in MAX performance potential, while those vortec heads are better than most cast iron chevy heads they are very far down the list of max performance heads, a set of AFR 190cc heads on your present 350 block since its fresh will be the cheapest and easyist route, a 383 stroker assembly installed in your pressent block will be the most cost effective combo, for max hp
heres a few places to buy engines BUT,

http://www.speedomotive.com/chevy_425_hp_strong_arm_400_stre.htm

http://www.online-racer.com/chevy_383_stroker.htm

you can buy AFR http://www.airflowresearch.com/ 190cc heads, and install them on you pressent engine with the stealth ram for a good combo or swap in a quality 383 kit in your present block, youll not only have better parts , youll have a much more powerful engine
