Ah, January of 2009. Hope was in the air, but more importantly, gas was under two dollars a gallon. Since then gas prices, have gone up 67 percent and it's an ominously upward trend. Interestingly enough, the Heritage Foundation also took a look at the first 26 months of Bush's presidency -- gas only rose 7 percent during that time frame.
Looks like the President's rich cronies are trying to get richer than President Bush's cronies who manipulated oil prices to get even richer.

Yeah, I am waiting to see who he is serving "The people"

Or the the Oil Cartels in the United States,

I think Obama isn't stepping up to the plate for the American people, because he is expecting Big Campaign contributions from the Oil Cartels next election

Which tells me he's serving Big Oil And not "We the People"

Obama = Douche

The ones being hurt the most... the little guy. The poor. The working man. The very same they claim to care and help.

Back when George W. Bush was president, the Dems wasted no time in blaming him for increases in the price of gasoline. Citing everything from his domestic energy policy to the war in Iraq, they tried, with some success, to make the American people believe that $4.00 a gallon gasoline--and the economic disruption it caused--was his fault and his fault alone.

Now the table turns.....................................

Hope and change has nothing to do with this. Gas prices went up when Bush was in office.

gas prices go up and down all the time

Where is all the outrage as a result of the rising gas prices? We are rapidly approaching $4 a gallon again and yet we have heard no criticism of this administration and its failure to address the issue. I can only believe that this administration is friendly with the oil industry and key figures are making a lot of money from the rising prices.

The lack of outrage stems from the fact that the Obama Fan Club, er, I mean mainstream media belives the President and his staff are letting fuel prices rise for the right reasons. I.e. to reduce consumption, to encourage green developement, and to make people vote Democrat.

I'll agree with the premise and the first two examples, but how do high gas prices on Barry's watch make people vote Dimocrap?

I think he's run up prices intentionally to push the electric cars and help his fellow muslim friends in Opec who are probably willing to help fund his 2012 POTUS run. His admin has done absolutely nothing in the past two years to help keep prices afordable. He's all about the "green scam". Add in his devaluing of the dollar and he leans even further toward ****ing us all. He's no more for the average citizen that George Soros is.

So during the high fuel prices under the Bush admin when I posted I thought gas prices were going to continue to creep up until they stabilized at about $3.50 per gallon, I must have known Obama would be elected:laughing::laughing::laughing:

It has to do with a lack of energy policy that allows our natural resources to be stripped and sold to foreign countries. If the government had held Exxon to the contract they signed that required Alaskan Pipeline Oil to be distributed domestically, prices in this country might not be the highest of any Oil producing country.

Just another case of having an agenda and digging up statistics that appear to support it.

No, it's just another example, in a long list, of this President's supporters sitting on their hands when faced with the same issues they so vehemently spoke out against during the last administration through their unsupported lies. Now that prices are climbing back to where they were we hear nothing from those people.

Just for the record, I have a pretty good feeling that oil prices will come down again but probably not until the fall. I think you'll see energy prices hover around this level and then slide back once mid east tensions decrease. The OPEC nations, whose economies are based soley on the sale of crude, understand that sustained high energy prices will have a negative impact on their own economies which is why Saudi Arabia has said they will pump more to make up for any Libyan losses. Now whether they have spare capacity is another debate.

This is a GLOBAL market, speculation, investor, trading problem.
It's a problem that can only be addressed by having all G7 nations work together to permantly change trading rules, eliminate Black Market trading, to remove the harmfull commodities trading that is causing this inflation across the energy, food and precious resources markets.

I KNOW that you are well aware of this.
AND.......... We discussed this many times before, and I know you remember those discussions.

I'm sorry if you feel your party has been treated unjustly.
Feel free to remove the girl panties and deal with the facts that you know are there.
