I have a 63 corvette, 327 with a carter afb carb. There is a hot air tube going from the exhaust manifold to the carburetor choke. I can't get the valve cover off without moving the hot air tube but the tube seems to be immobile. I don't want to remove the carburetor or any of the linkage. Does anyone know how I can get the hot air tube off? Is it delicate? Do I have to remove the choke and its linkage? Aaaaagggghh!

All I wanted to do is replace the valve cover gasket!

Just pulled a little harder - no problem. Done.
