I have 2 '77 vettes and one has quite a bit of wear off of the chrome looking details around the interior plastic parts like the center vents, and that bead of raised silver chrome looking plastic around the console. Someone told me once, they worked detailing trade in cars for a dealership, that there is a chrome pen or paint pen chrome color that will fix that. I haven't been able to find one. Does anyone know where I can find a product to do the repair? Mike

Check out your local stationary supply store or arts and crafts store--they should have paint pens. Sharpie has a metallic marker that will work if it is a satin silver. If you need bright, shiny chrome there are chrome spray paints at places like Home Depot or Lowes--you could spray into a cup then brush it on, although it may take several coats--and I'm not certain how shiny the end result is, if not sprayed. Some of those metallic sprays can be difficult to get just right...

Well, I ran into the dude that said he detailed the cars for the dealer. I thought he said there was a chrome pen but he said it is really a silver pen. Can cover some small cracks or sometimes the trim is flat silver and it works well but to cover a length of silver chrome is a no-go.

Seems like a great product for someone to develop. I can see the infomercial now... "Detail your car better than the pros, looks like new, have the chrome back on the car like it was supposed to be!" $19.95, but wait...
