It's said that every 100 pounds is worth about a 1/10 in the quartermile.

So what's your opinion....spend a $1000 on gaining HP or on shedding weight by replacing stuff with light weight components?

More go fast goodies. I like the creature comforts to shed to much weights. But with one comes another. Such as a new aluminum intake to make more power......also saves weight. Headers=more power and a weight savings over cast iron. Also the pretties can save weight. Aluminum water pump 'mag' wheels, aluminum radiator. Bottom line. Make more power and look better doing it

Most of the weight in corvettes comes from the body. Fiberglass is not the lightest material every created. Id go for the horsepower. Short of an aluminum block its probably the best way to compensate.
